Safe in Nome

While he was trying to make a world record by crossing the Bering Sea in a kayak between Alaska and Siberia, Jean-Gabriel had to rescue in a storm by Coast Guard. He abandoned his kayak while he was at 20 miles from the coast of Saint Lawrence. Coast Guard took him at Nome.

Now He has to take some rest and think about the rest of his expedition.

In emergency situation

We haven't any details about what's happen, but Jean-Gabriel had to call for an emergency. We should have more details in the next hours.

He can see lands, he is arriving !

At 5 PM, Jean-Gabriel saw Saint Lawrence Island which it gave him enough power to paddle during the all night to join the Island. He stays concentrated and stays fighting against wind and currents.

Hard progression

Since Sunday, Jean-Gabriel is on the Bering Sea. He has some head wind and wrong currents.

Departure of the 5st step

Jean-Gabriel left Emmonak this sunday 28th of June in the direction of Saint Lawrence Island still with his kayak. Conditions of next days should be correct. He was little bit nervous but very concentrated on his mission.
He will try to join Gambell, some 200 miles to do.
